Our piercers work very hard to make sure that our clients are taken care of but do you know why they do what they do? Our piercers Morgan and Farley work great together to bring clients amazing jewelry and happy, healthy piercings. If you haven’t met our piercers yet, this blog will introduce you to M, our current apprentice! She has been with us for about a year and a half and is getting so close to finishing her apprenticeship! We had her answer a few questions so clients could get to know her a bit better!
- How long have you been apprenticing to be a piercer?
I’ve been an apprentice for a year and a half! I’ve wanted to get in to this career for about six years at this point, so I’m very happy I finally got the opportunity.
- Why did you want to be a piercer?
I’ve always loved piercing and jewelry. But the main reason is that I want to help people feel comfortable with their bodies. Some people aren’t a fan of their anatomy and by adding a lovely piece of high quality jewelry, I can help them to love that body part (and themselves) a little bit more. It’s always been an interest of mine and I’m so thankful to be here! I want to help people feel better about themselves and I think being able to add adornments is a great way to go about it.
- What is your favorite piercing to perform so far?
I absolutely love piercing conches and nostrils. They’re both so much fun and they make for such lovely photos! The jewelry options are almost endless too, so many choices to pick from. If I had to go with one or the other, I would have to say that I love conches the most. With so many varied anatomies and jewelry to select, the conch is by far my favorite piercing to do!
- Do you have any goals as a piercer?
I want to be sure that my clients have the highest quality jewelry for their piercings. I would like to provide the most comfortable atmosphere possible, especially in a business that might not always be super comfortable for clients. People should be comfortable with the person piercing them.
- What piercings are you working on now?
Right now, I am offering discounts on the industrial piercing, the navel piercing, and the eye brow piercing! The navel and the eyebrow are both $10 plus the cost of jewelry and the industrial is $25 plus the cost of jewelry! Call the shop for more information about jewelry pricing.
- When do you think you’ll be finished?
Right now, it’s a little tentative. We were hoping for July but it’s starting to look like maybe August, just because I have been so busy with so many different projects! I can’t wait to be fully licensed, I’m so excited to be a piercer here at Spider-Bite!
