At Spider-Bite, we’re always happy to answer questions regarding our artists and the kinds of tattoos that they specialize in. If you call and tell us a rough idea of what you’re thinking of getting, we can point you in the right direction or you can view the artist portfolios by clicking here and decide before you call us! But when it comes to tattoos, we have a few things that we can’t help you with over the phone. We ask that you come in to handle these certain things. It’s much better to take care of them in person on a one-on-one basis and not over the phone. This makes it easier for us to cater to each individual client. Before you call us with questions, just please be aware of the following!

The shop minimum for tattoos is $60 and if you call us, that’s the only price we’ll be able to give you without you being in the shop. Each artist varies because each artist has been tattooing for a different amount of time, has a different style, and 

tattoos at a different speed. Since most of the time, the person answering the phone isn’t a tattoo artist, they won’t be able to give you an exact quote for your tattoo. If you’d like a specific amount, we simply ask that you come in to the shop and have a free consultation with one of our artists! The artist will be able to help you determine the specifics of your tattoo and after those are established, they’ll be able to give you an approximate quote. 

If you are satisfied with the consultation with your artist and you’re ready to move forward with the tattoo, the next step is to book an appointment (if you aren’t getting it the same day that is!). We accept both walk-ins and appointments so if your schedule doesn’t allow for a same-day tattoo, you can set something up for later on. To book an appointment with the artist of your choosing, you just need to place a $60 deposit with the front desk and provide the proper identification to complete your paperwork. Then you’re good to go with an appointment!

There are some clients who aren’t thrilled with the amount of money that they are quoted after speaking to an artist. We do understand that money is hard to come by. However, we also recognize that a tattoo is the only item you will ever buy in your entire life that you will have forever. Tattoos don’t break down or fall apart. This is so important to remember when it comes time to pay for your tattoo. Our artists here are very intent on making sure that your tattoo comes out exactly how you envision it and sometimes, that takes a little extra time in the chair. This may end up costing a little extra but it will be extremely worth it in the long run. Wouldn’t you rather pay a little more at the time you get your tattoo instead of having to shell out who knows how much to get it fixed? 

If you’ve ever been on the internet, you’ve probably seen the memes about “my friend can do it for cheaper”. While someone’s ‘friend’ might have low prices, you may end up getting the state of Florida when you asked for the state of New Hampshire. Or you may end up getting a kitten instead of that lion you wanted. What about having a word permanently misspelled on your tattoo? These are the kinds of things that won’t happen if you stop by our shop and get tattooed by our artists. It may be a bit more expensive than your friend’s cousin Jimmy who tattoos out of his kitchen but at least you won’t end up getting a scratchy tattoo that looks like the artist was half asleep while doing it.
